Timur Designs complete new residence in Sentosa Cove.
This house on Sentosa Cove Island differs from the rest of the water-front houses because of its tall and narrow proportion. Cutting into an existing hill slope, the house rises 5 storeys from the road level. The master bedroom is located on the highest level with the best views to the city.
The entire front of the house is made of timber balconies, which cantilever off the house like a 3-dimensional wooden screen. The internal spaces are designed to be totally porous, with the living and dining pavilions totally unenclosed.
These “interior” spaces open into a pool and deck area, which continue to step up the natural slope of the hill, creating a central valley-like oasis into which all rooms on the upper levels open.
The design of this house demonstrates true tropical living where the focus is on the relationship between the interior spaces and their surrounding.
